What we collect

Women Organization for Relief & Empowerment (W.O.R.E), based in Kano, Nigeria, handles information shared through worenigeria.org. This includes account details, optional profile information, reports, support requests and any files you choose to attach. We also use essential cookies and security records to keep the website working safely.

How we use and protect it

We use your information to manage your account, handle requests and contact you as agreed. Reports and attachments stay private and are available only to you and authorised people who need access. They are never added to the public gallery.

Trusted service providers process information needed to operate the website and deliver messages, including outside Nigeria. Information may also be shared for an agreed referral, security or a legal requirement. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Optional Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, we receive your account identifier, email, name and profile picture to create and recognise your account and private profile. We do not request your Gmail, contacts or files, or use Google data to train AI models. Access is limited to authorised people and services needed for these account features and security.

You can edit your profile or revoke access in your Google Account connections. Revoking access does not delete information already saved with WORE; contact us to request deletion. Our use follows the Google API Services User Data Policy.

Your contact choices

Report contact details are optional. Report emails require your permission and a confirmed account; you can withdraw permission in your account. Submitting a support request with consent lets WORE use your details to contact you about it. Confirmed account holders receive one support confirmation email, with no later status emails. Account verification and password recovery emails are separate.

Guest access stays in the submitting browser and may be lost when cookies are cleared. Closing a page does not erase browser history or downloads. Use a device you trust.

If you subscribe to WORE news, we save your email and permission for those updates. This is separate from reports and account emails. To unsubscribe, email team@worenigeria.org.

Your information and requests

We keep information as needed for request handling, security and applicable obligations. Withdrawing contact permission does not automatically delete a request. You can update your profile and ask for access, correction or deletion; we may need to confirm your identity and protect other people’s information.
